Hannani Zhafirah is 6 months old!

my daughter turns 6 months old today!!

can't believe time files so fast. 6 months ago, she's just my little baby... but now she's on the 'move' trying to crawl. so cute.. now she knows what to do when we asked her to like 'sayang mama'.. or 'sayang baba'... and she will put her tiny fingers on our cheek and she'll smile... and few other things she's now understand what it means.... i think...

here's some pictures of her

Save the Earth... Go green....

i know the 'Save the Earth' day has passed by...but it doesn't mean that we could just ignore the intention to be part of it... it doesn't mean that we could just proceed with our routine and wait another year for 'Save the Earth' day to come by....

its not easy as it seems actually to make an initial steps in saving the environment. but at least we could try as hard as we could with a small simple matter... such as switched off lights/fans/any electrical thingy if its not in use...do not use air-cond if its unnecessary... like Jusco is also calling out customers to use their Jusco shopping bag to reduce the plastic bags consumption...

and for me, i always remind myself , mainly in electricity usage, but currently, i'm into Cloth Diaper (yea, lately everything is for the beloved daughter, hihi) ... yerp, bakc to the years when we were babies, our mothers used to wear us with those traditional cloth diaper... at first i thought, its gonna be quite tough since first, you have to buy the CD (at least a baby needs 6-8 CDs a day), secondly to rinse out the soiled diaper before washing...and its also a bit of difficult on how to use, how to wash, how to care diapers at first... but once you starts, everything become as easy as using disposable diapers.

and based on the experience, currently i only have 5 CD's and yerp for sure i have to wash it everyday and everynight, but i can see that we hardly 'touch' the disposable diapers, even my mum and in-laws...they getting use to using the CD...and i'm a bit of proud of myself that at first attempt we can actually save a little $$ on diapers.

Hence, i have to buy another set of CD's cos 5 isnt enough..hehehe...

you've might want to check this out... gdiapers .... how i wish this enviro friendly diaper is available here.

Landslide in Bukit Antarabangsa

Syukur Alhamdulillah, me and my family are save from that infidel tragedy of landslide in Bukit Antarabangsa which happened on 6 December 2008, Saturday morning. Where, most people were asleep when the landslide occurred and within seconds, 14 bungalows were perished.

I was just finish watching re-run of Big Love on HBO that night, which ended at 3.30 p.m and was about to go to bed when i heard sounds like raining and wind blowing breezily. i assume it was going to rain. so i switched off

We Turn Not Older with Years but Newer Every Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! .... to me... hi hi...

received a bouquet of flowers, Calla Lilies, and a box of Famous Amos cookies from my beloved hubby...yeay...never thought he'd be buying flowers for me...i usually get like a simple birthday card, a simple present, and as far as i remember i did told him that flowers wouldn't be my expectation...especially roses. not that i hate roses, i like roses...but they wont 'live' long enough..hehe...i am more fond of lilies...especially stargazer lilies...the soothing smell of lilies ...

and i don't expect any from my parents...hehehe...yeah, at this kind of age..hi hi... but mama gave me a present, a brooch...thanks ma...and a wish from wan and zaki, my cousins ..and my friends...

thought of buying a cake for the family later...

Thanks for the wish y'all... :)

today our floor is having a pot luck. we'd planned this since early weeks of syawal.. but since everyone was caught up with work, especially with the sale of our 7,000 dwt tanker vessel, MT Rohas Ria, with Nigerian
- fried mee
- lemang and rendang tok
- nasi lemak
- roti jala and kari daging
- rendang ayam
- orange cake
- fruit cocktail
- lemon cheesecake
- and drinkss..

phew... enough to eat till end of the day... teehee...
i brought orange cake.. yup, i baked it myself...am sure it became a lot less tempting to eat...but i finally baked my 1st cake after all. by the end of the day, the tray was spat clean...habis jugak, yer...

Ayat-Ayat Cinta The Movie

yup, today is the 10th day of Syawal...and as expected, TV3 will air 'Ayat-ayat Cinta' tonight at 9.00 p.m...yippie... this film were made based on a novel with the same title, written by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy, an Indonesian, who actually studied at University Al-Azhar, Cairo and wrote the story based on his experience. i read this novel on the recommendation by my former colleague. i watched the film with my sister in law which she downloaded somewhere, but the sounds was not that clear and so as the picture and it makes it more difficult to capture the words since the film is versed in Indonesian language.

it is the islamic romance film...the story shows the value of love in islam, the journey of a muslim, his love, sacrifices and the beauty of islam...

Me @ Work

heck...its 6.30 p.m and i'm still in the office waiting for my hubby to come.usually it takes about half an hour to 1 hour to reach my office from his. but today he had to go to cyberjaya. am sure he'll be stuck in the traffic with the rain pouring heavily..then we have to pick up hannani at in-laws...what time will i reach home?...

phew~...i was actually typing this, when suddenly the lights in office were switched off. i quickly ran out and called out that someone is still here. and it was Mak Nah, the cleaner. heheh. nasib baik sempat. she thought that everyone had gone home. yerp, me too. she was waiting for her son to pick her up, and since i'm still here, she decides to continue her work.. hihi...well, that's ok...at least i'm not alone here...am i?...

it reminds me of this incident which happens to Wan Z, the Head of Procurement. Wan Z has always been working late. and that one unfortunate day, that he was locked in the office. i'm not sure whether he realise that the lights were switched off or not. he called someone at 10th floor to open the door, and lucky him there was still peeps working at 10th.

its not easy being locked in 'coz the main door to the office can only be unlocked from outside. which we have to key in the security no. some sort of password, to unlock the door. ~sigh~

thinking of being 'stuck' here in the office is creepy. with all ghostly stories here and there. damn~

thank goodness, a friend from university yahoo'ed me. at least i have someone to chat while waiting. Mak Nah already went home and i'm alone here.

the clock ticks @ 7.20p.m.. ~sigh~

Raya - KL

this year raya will be my first raya in KL. i'll be celebrating raya with my inlaws while my family will be in KB. we decided to celebrate raya in KL 'cos of our little baby hannani. she 's 3 months now. actually we could travel but she'll be uncomfortable, not having good deep sleep and it will upset her. me as a concerned mother do not want that happen to my lil' baby gurl.

preparation for raya? well for me, as usual, 2 sets of baju kurung.(japanese cotton and a sari). that kain sari was a gift from MIL. my tailor said that at the moment i could not make any kebaya since i just gave birth. my weight and body size will keep changing. that is what she said. so no kebaya to wear for herma's reception.
